With the deadline fast approaching, organisations should be well on their way to compliance. However, in a recent survey, it revealed that only 5% of organisations are fully prepared for the new data regulation, with 33% stating that they are just over half way to compliance.
Organisations, particularly smaller ones may be concerned with GDPR compliance. The ICO launched a campaign in mid-March with a series of radio adverts, aimed at those micro-businesses who haven’t heard about the GDPR. If organisations have only just started to become GDPR complaint, they may not be fully by 25th May.
The GDPR handbook offers advice to those looking to comply with the new regulation and explains important aspects of the regulation in plain English and jargon-free.
This book brings together some experienced GDPR figures to analyse and advise on the ins and outs of the regulation, including; Ruaraidh Thomas, Managing Director, DST Systems, Mark Burnett, Certified GDPR Data Protection Officer and Head of Privacy, ClearComm, David Clarke, Co-Founder, The TrustBridge.
The book will help you understand;
– the effects GDPR will have on your business and what is needed to comply
– what consent your business needs to collect in order to process personal data
– how to report data breaches and avoid losing 4% of your annual turnover
– whether you’ll need to hire a Data Protection Officer
